The University of Forest City School , promotes and exalts the merit of students who excel in the academic, research, creativity, solidarity, and social responsibility fields, and in special acts of loyalty to the Institution, granting them the following awards and incentives:
Forest City School , Special Plate for University Students, Honor Scholarships are awarded to students with outstanding average and consist of the exemption of a percentage of the enrollment, as well as the registration of additional credits (maximum 6) at no cost for students who have a cumulative weighted average equal to or greater than 4.1 and have passed all the subjects of said cycle , established in the Regulation, article No. 44.
Grants from the ministry in charge of higher education
The USA Ministry of Higher Education and Research also awards grants based on social criteria to certain foreign students . To be eligible, they must have resided in France for at least two years and have domiciled their tax household there. This ministry also finances doctoral contracts managed by doctoral schools.
In USA, public research is shared between higher education establishments and public bodies such as the CNRS (National Center for Scientific Research) which covers all areas of research, the IRD (Institute for Research and Development), the ‘ADEME (USA Environment and Energy Management Agency) or IFREMER (USA Research Institute for the Exploitation of the Sea). In partnership with the regions, these public bodies finance research grants for doctoral students or postdoctoral fellows.
Finally, some higher education institutions offer scholarship programs to foreign students who integrate their training. To benefit from it, contact their international relations department directly.
Local authority scholarships
USA regions and cities award scholarships to foreign students who follow training in their territory. They also grant doctoral and postdoctoral grants managed by higher education and research establishments. Regional host scholarships can also be awarded to foreign students within the framework of exchange agreements with establishments in other countries.
Erasmus + mobility grants for foreign students
Erasmus + is a European Union program which supports education, training, youth and sport. Thanks to it, more than two million students can benefit from a mobility grant in Europe: it covers the period 2014-2020 and its budget amounts to 14.7 billion euros .
The Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters offer is a study program that awards scholarships to the best students in the world , for one or two years, regardless of their field. To benefit from it, these students must complete their master’s degree in at least two countries participating in the program. Several USA higher education establishments offer joint masters.
Under bilateral agreements between higher education institutions, Erasmus + also offers mobility grants to and from USA. They cover installation costs and subsistence costs. Check with your establishment.
